About the Author

W. F. Rogers is a spacecraft systems engineer and program manager. He has been blessed to work with amazingly talented people on a wide range of advanced space vehicles, including the Space Shuttle. Visualizing spacecraft orientations and maneuvers helped him imagine the Primary World described in his novels.

The apostle Paul wrote, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20, NIV translation.) Rogers looks at the universe and, speaking as an engineer, can say with complete certainty that it did not arise haphazardly—clearly, it was designed.

The author learned to fly airplanes at the age of fourteen. Some of the action in his books is based on his stunt flying experience.

Rogers’ favorite subject in school was history, and like most authors, he loves to write. He told The Mirror and the Prism stories to his daughters, one of whom persistently nagged him to publish them. His other daughter acted as a sounding board for ideas, helping him escape corners he had written himself into. He will always be grateful for their help and encouragement.
